McCain Foods India (Private) Ltd. was established in 1997 when McCain began importing potato products to a country where potato consumption was already well established. 

Facilities:

1997 – New Delhi sales office opens

2006 – Plant opens in the Gujarat province to produce retail and foodservice French fries, and potato specialties. Among the potato specialties the plant will eventually produce are a number of popular Indian style potato snacks.

The plant supplies markets in Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal, as well as India and exports 10-15 per cent of its output to South and South-east Asian countries and the Middle East.

McCain Foods India employs more than 100 people.
